On the other hand, the Cabuyao River is located between the boundary of Santa Rosa City and Cabuyao City in Laguna. It is likewise considered as one of the major tributaries that leads to Laguna de Bay and has a stream length of 15.2 kilometers. The headwater of Cabuyao River originates from the Sta. Rosa City.

The two river systems act as natural drainage water systems of the cities and barangays it covers. The water from the two river systems which directly drains in Laguna de Bay is identified as polluted.

This study aims to conduct river profiling as a fundamental step in protecting its tributaries. Furthermore, this study is necessary to further guide us in the implementation of our activities and to provide us vital information that we can use for our recommendation to the concerned Local Government Units (LGUs).
